  • New ViaPlus Alpha® back-office platform modernizes toll transaction processing, payments and customer operations
  • Enhanced digital self-service simplifies customer account management and payments
  • Expansion of ViaPlus’ presence in Europe demonstrates ability to deliver modern tolling and customer service solutions in new markets

ViaPlus has successfully completed a major modernization of the tolling and customer management systems for the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, one of Greece’s key transport links connecting the Peloponnese with the country’s mainland. With the deployment of the ViaPlus Alpha® back-office solution, the bridge now benefits from a unified and scalable digital environment that streamlines toll transactions and customer services while supporting interoperability, automation, and future mobility needs.

The new platform consolidates customer account management, toll transaction processing, payments, invoicing, reporting and customer communications. It also supports interoperable transaction processing through the Greek Interoperable Tolling System (GRITS) and synchronizes data with interoperability partners.

As part of the modernization, ViaPlus has also implemented a new customer website and enhancements to the ePass mobile app, providing customers with additional self-service capabilities to more easily access information, manage accounts, review transactions, and facilitate payments. Together, these enhancements improve customer convenience and operational performance, strengthen revenue assurance and visibility, and provide greater flexibility to support future innovation.

This project represents a new European market for ViaPlus. Building on its established tolling technology presence in Ireland on Dublin’s M50, the company is extending its footprint to Greece, a significant road mobility market with growing demand for advanced tolling solutions. The Rio-Antirrio deployment – ViaPlus’ second major bridge crossing following the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge that connects the United States and Mexico – further demonstrates the company’s expertise in delivering tolling technology and services that drive digital transformation, operational efficiency, interoperability, and enhanced customer experiences.

By delivering this modernization for the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, which is also part of the VINCI Highways network, ViaPlus demonstrates its ability to deploy advanced tolling technologies across complex transportation environments, helping concession operators improve operational performance and deliver better services to customers and public partners.
