ViaPlus Participates in IBTTA’s “Be Safe Together” Global Road Safety Week
ViaPlus, a subsidiary of VINCI Highways and member of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), is proud to announce its participation in “Be Safe Together,” a new global road safety campaign to educate drivers about the actions they can take to make our roads safer for all users.
The IBTTA campaign includes global messaging, digital promotion, and public and driver engagement, including IBTTA’s first Global Road Safety Week, which takes place from June 24-28. The event will be held across transportation agencies and toll roads worldwide.
ViaPlus supports IBTTA’s campaign and the tolling industry’s commitment to safety through its work to maintain safe roads, and the emphasis to drivers that the little choices they make at each step of their journey can make a real difference in others’ lives. ViaPlus recently participated in the “Global Safety Week” of VINCI Highways, its parent company that in late May mobilized its global subsidiaries to participate in the event to focus on safer roads for drivers, passengers, and workers. The company’s highway concessions across the network in Europe and the Americas, as well as ViaPlus in tolling technology, took part in workshops and discussions that focused on identifying potential road hazards and how to take immediate action to address them.
From a technical perspective, ViaPlus supports the development of AI-based technologies that support worker safety on roads and contribute to clearer and safer highways. From an individual perspective, ViaPlus emphasizes education on environmental, cyber, and workplace safety, ensuring that each employee has the right tools to maintain a secure environment and that individuals are aware of actions they can take in hazardous situations.
