ViaPlus Adds AI-Based Vehicle Validation to Product Portfolio

As India prepares to advance to free-flow highway tolling, "Know Your Vehicle" (KYV) is a regulatory program that ensures all vehicles with a FASTag toll sticker are correctly identified, classified, and compliant - supporting accurate Electronic Toll Collection (ETC).

The KYV validation is performed manually by banks in India, who issue FASTags and process vehicle tolls. This manual process creates operational challenges due to high volumes.

To address this, ViaPlus has expanded its Sightline® Image Review solution to automate the KYV image-review process. All documents and vehicle data are automatically cross-checked and verified using Sightline’s AI-based engine – leading to reduced operating costs, expedited vehicle compliance, and easier vehicle onboarding.

ViaPlus processes over two million vehicle images daily for free-flow highway operations worldwide, and over 2.5 billion FASTag transactions annually for our bank clients in India.
